Light Blue pre-dates the deeper cobalt and therefor is much more rare. Sea glass becomes increasing as each wave passes. Shaped only by tide and time and UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach (other than the hole).

Carolina Blue sea glass sources date back prior to the early 1900's when products like Phillips, Bromo, Vicks and Noxzema used light blue glass as packaging. They later transitioned over to the cobalt blue when the use of printed labels on products were used.
