Glass from this region tends to be the best in the world. Much of this glass started out as huge glass mixed color slag rocks that were discarded into local waters over 100 years ago.
Most of the highly colored sea glass has been attributed to the Hartley Wood Art glass house that was just a jog up the beach from Seaham England where this piece was found.
The Glass House Of Hartley went through many changes, it stood on the shores of the Tyne Wear River from the early 1880's until the mid 20th century and produced a variety of colorful art glass products.
The Solid Sterling bail on the pendant will accommodate a chain of 5MM wide.
Drop a bit of oil on this piece to really intensify the amazing colors fused in this sea glass piece.
