A PERFECT piece of large Aqua Blue Genuine English Sea Glass in our Deluxe Wire Bezel© setting.
Great VERY OLD antique sea glass from the coast of England. This is called End of Day glass or slag glass from a site in England where an Victorian era glass company would toss scraps over the cliff at the end of the day. Aqua blue sea glass from the UK, said to have possibly been the remnants of TV tubes or leaded glass wastes.
This is a very large piece and not for the timid. Glass from this region often was the result of slag or cullet glass being discarded into local waters. It was never made into an end product and is very thick and very round. It has telltale pitting that is indicative of TOP QUALITY natural sea glass.
The piece is set in a deco pattern wire and has a solid sterling bail soldered to the top.
Open both front and back, you will often find yourself reaching up to feel the tactile quality of this sea glass piece.
A solid sterling hand cast bail that will accommodate just about any necklace you may already own that is 10MM wide or less.
