Pure white English sea glass piece and a handmade flanking beads of vivid blue set with sterling details on a thick solid sterling half round bangle bracelet.
The sea glass piece hails from Seaham England and the site of the 1800's bottle factory of Londonderry Bottleworks were handmade bottles were crafted from 1853 until 1921. Huge slag or cullet pieces found their way into the North Sea and these thick and natural sea glass pieces now wash ashore.
The side beads were handmade in Malyasia and is a lampwork bead made by melting glass scraps on a flame. Locals use recycled bottles and glass to make these beads and feed their families. Made to look like sea glass is mimics the a rounded piece of green. The blue sea glass is likely remnants of old medicine bottles.
This is a large bangle at 8 inches but can be sized down upon request.
