A great piece of mixed End Of Day Sea glass in the many colors shades of blue embedded in this amazing found sea glass. The bottom darker area is an opaque red......Very unusual. Color goes from front to back of the piece (cross sectioned) and is a very rare piece. Most colored glass from this region is flashed where color is only on one side.
Our Deluxe Wire Bezel© leaves the sea glass UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach and is fully reversible.
Great VERY OLD antique sea glass from the coast of England. This is called End of Day glass or slag glass. From a site in England where an Victorian glass company would toss scraps over the cliff at the end of the day.
These colors are part of the glass and NOT painted. They are a result of colorized glass built up in layers in crucible kept next the kiln and used to add colorants to molten glass. When the crucible was cleaned, these scraps were tossed and found on nearby beaches 100+ years later.
This piece comes with a deluxe presentation box perfect for gift giving!
