A cool piece of Ultra Rare Mixed Cross Sectioned Purple Sea Glass in our Original Wire Bezel© Sterling setting.
-
The piece is discarded glass from the Hartley Wood Art Glass House is now washing ashore on small Seaham Beaches.
-
It is cross Sectioned meaning the color runs from front to back.
-
The vase shown is an example of a Hartley vase (circa 1880) that is the verified source of this amazing and colorful sea glass.
-
This type of sea glass is only found on this one small beach in Seaham England. By our standards, we consider this a mini or small piece though it is now a large piece compared to those available in most US jewelry makers.
-
Purple is a rare color in sea glass SPECIALLY in a natural (no sun turned) purple. In England, purple was reserved for Royalty and the Clergy, making this a special piece indeed.
-
This piece is set in our Original Wire Bezel© Setting that is fully reversible and just the way this sea glass was found on the beach.
-
Shown here on a 2MM Solid Sterling Snake chain (NOT included but recommended and available as and upgrade). It comes on our FREE plated chain but the bail will accommodate any necklace up to 4MM.
-
Would look nice on a curb chain as well.
