Another really neat almost perfectly flat but long and thick piece of VIVID Teal green sea glass set in our Deluxe Wire Bezel© necklace pendant setting.
This amazing sea glass came by the way of a friend and collector on the Isle of Sheppy of the coast of England. Though many glass makers existed throughout history in the region, we have yet to discover the producer and origin of this flat well aged sea glass. The pieces I have are flat and even (prefect for setting in this style of jewelry). My guess is that it was a handmade old rolled glass product, possibly windows.
This particular piece does have an arc line on the one side which I first thought was crizzling (a natural feature of some sea glass, but upon closer observation, it looks to be am embossing mark which may be a clue to it's origin.
The piece is set in our Deluxe Wire Bezel setting in solid sterling silver. This setting encases the sea glass in a rope pattern wire and it leaves the glass totally open and UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach in England.
Comes with our free sterling plated chain (not shown).
