This setting does not alter the integrity of the sea glass from the way it was found on the beach. There is a distinct color variation in these pieces from a dark rich cobalt to a lighter blue.

From a site in England where an Victorian era glass manufacturers would toss scraps over the cliff at the end of the day. These colors have been attributed to the Hartley Wood Company art glass house just up the beach from Seaham. Remnants of breakages and discards now wash up on local beaches.
