This original By The Sea Jewelry setting that encases the glass in silver and leaves both front and back open so you can feel the texture of this antique top quality glass.
Many pieces of sea glass from this region started out as slag or cullet glass. These were large lumps of glass and a by product of the glass making industry in the Tyne and Wear region. Because of this, the sea glass from this area tends to be very round and thick as it was never made into an end product.
Though it sticks out in the front, it is flat in the back and will lay properly when you wear it.
This piece has EXCEPTIONAL color and is VERY THICK (see measurements below).
