This setting is our new wire design and leaves the glass totally open and UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach in England. Most likely this originate as the tip of a punty or pontil used in glass making. The multi color of the interal comet indicates that art glass was being made that day over 100 years ago.
This is a large and very thick piece of sea glass. 1 x 3/4 inches and is 3/8 inches thick!
The piece combines a gold wire bezel with a cast solid sterling bail for a versatile and timeless piece.

An amazing piece of natural sea glass from the UK and one of my favorite types of sea glass from the region. This is the remnants of art and bottle glass production in the area. Pontils or Punties were used to gather and work with molten glass. When the piece was finished, the tip was discarded, this case into the North Sea. The blue is the color that was being worked in the kiln, the white or cheaper glass was used to tip the punty rod.
-
This piece is set in our Heavy Deluxe Wire Bezel© Pendant Setting in Solid Sterling Silver that leaves the sea glass just the way this sea glass was found on the beach. The Solid Sterling Bail is handcast.
-
It comes on our FREE plated chain but the bail will accommodate any necklace up to 10MM.
-
Shown on a 2MM Upgrade chain. If you are in need of a quality chain we recommend our 1 or 2 MM Sterling Snake Chain.
