A perfect extremely rare piece of mixed purple or obergine and white sea glass from the UK set in silver.
This piece is set in fine (.999) and sterling (.925) sterling silver. This is a perfect and thicker piece of sea glass from Seaham England as it is the result of the glassmaking industry in the region. Scraps, slag and cullet glass made its way into local waters and now washes up on local beaches a 150 years later. Some of the FINEST sea glass in the world is found here. This piece is unusually large by todays standards and measures 1 1/8 x 5/8 and is 3/8 inches thick. This piece was left UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach.
The light reflected back by the silver backing shows you a whirlwind of purple and white. This natural purple sea glass remant is very rare as purple was only used for the church and royalty in England. Common people were not allowed to use or wear things with the color purple.
Presented on an 18 Inch 2MM thick smooth snake chain necklace with lobster claw clasp.
Comes with a premium gift box perfect for that special gift.
