WOWSER, Not only is the a HUGE piece but has a great embossed pattern. An older piece of lavender or purple sea glass from Maine set in our Solid Sterling Silver Deluxe Wire Bezel pendant setting.
Though not a "perfect" piece, this is a very LARGE and deeply hued purple sea glass. Not highly frosted as it came from a bay in Maine that had less surf action. From the Private Island of Betsy Wyeth.
If it had been in the surf more this decorative pattern would have been lost.
Lavender or Purple sea glass actually started out as a white glass product. Over time the Manganese content in the glass (used to bleach the molten glass white) turns the glass purple over time. Exposure to sun intensifies this effect.
A perfect pendant for any necklace. This piece comes with a free Sterling Plated chain (not shown) but other options like this solid sterling silver snake chain are available and recommended as an upgrade.
The Solid Sterling bail will accommodate a chain of 8MM wide.
Would look GREAT on a strand of Amethyst!
This is a BIG pendant not for the mild (see full product measurements below).
I dug deep into my personal 30+ year old collection for this one!
Guaranteed to get you Compliments!
