The source of this amazing sea glass is the art glass house of Hartley and Wood Company that once stood up the beach from Seaham England where these pieces were collected. Verified by an English Art Professor, these amazing colorful beach gems are coveted the world over.
We are lucky to have been the first US artist to work with these in jewelry and we were able to acquire a substantial collection before sources dried up. It is nearly impossible now for anyone to have two pieces that match in this rare glass.
The scrap was tossed into the sea and these lovely frosted Natural sea glass gems are the result. It has been verified by an English art Professor that these are certainly remnants of the Hartley and James Factory that was down the beach from Seaham England.
