This is incredibly hard sea glass to match in pairs as it was serendipitously made back in the Victorian Era. The colors are fused inside the glass, not applied.

Mixed sea glass like this could be the result of colorants being added to motlen glass in a mixing crucible. Layers would build up on the sides of the crucible, and when it was cleaned and the pieces discarded (this case into the North Sea), these lovely fascintating beach gems are the result.
