This particular piece has less pitting that normal for this area and I believe the glass composition is similar to the opaque glasses from this region. Possibly made for use in lights that would become very hot. A bright piece of genuine sea glass that really glows.
This sea glass piece is from a small coastal town called Seaham England where an Victorian era glass manufacturers would toss these scraps into the rivers and sea at the End Of The Day. Though sea glass is still found on this beach, pieces this size and color are incredibly rare. Some of the FINEST sea glass in the world.
