SUPER ULTRA Ultra Mixed Purple and White sea glass pieces from Seaham England are set in our Original Wire Bezel© earring setting. This is a very hard sea glass to match as the color is cross sectioned from one side to the other.
This is a very hard sea glass to match in ANY color but purple, TRUE PURPLE is just about impossible.
Purple glass and ornaments were reserved for Royalty in England and whatever this was in its former life, it was most likely meant for a Royal Home. It is is rare in fact that no modern intact examples exist that we know of, but we are still looking.
Our original Wire Bezel Earring setting lets all the beauty of these beauties shine! This setting does not alter the sea glass from the way it was found on the beach. There is a distinct color variation in these pieces from a Rich deep purple to pure white making a striking contrast.
These come from a site in England where an Victorian era glass manufacturers would toss scraps over the cliff at the end of the day. We are one of the only Sea Glass Jewelers in the world that is still able to offer such amazing matches of this Seaham Sea Glass. Part of our original Seaham collection that dates back to when no one knew of this amazing sea glass mecca.
These are NOT SMALL (see full measurements below).
The colors are NOT applied but were incorporated together over 100 years ago as the result of art glass scraps from local glass artisans.
Alone each piece would sell for well over $200, but matched as a pair they are almost priceless. The only pair I have done that was rarer than these was a pair of orange that sold for over $1000.
Great for the true Seaham Sea Glass Collector.
These come on Fishhook Or French Ear wires but we recommend our sterling lever backs (available as an upgrade) for such a special pair of sea glass earrings. Sea Glass size and finished size is below, ear wire selection may change finished size.
