This is a LARGE Very Pale Green Sea Glass Pendant is set in our Deluxe Wire Bezel© pendant setting with a genuine Mother Of Pearl gem.
This is our Deluxe Wire design that leaves the glass UNALTERED from the way it was found on the beach. We bumped this up yet another level by incorporating a 6MM Mother Of Pearl gem in a bezeled tube setting (This is a fine jewelry setting, not glued in but painstakingly burnished in solid sterling silver.
This is a found piece, shaped only by tide and time and most likely started out as a scrap art glass that is found on the shores of Seaham England and said to be the remnants of bottle and art glass factories from the 1800's. This looks to have been a pontil tip used to gather glass in the kiln and then discarded into local waters.
The Solid Sterling Bail will accommodate a chain of 10MM wide. The pendant comes with a sterling plated rope chain (NOT shown) but if you are in need of a quality chain for this piece, we recommend our 2MM 24 Inch snake chain (shown in photograph with pendant).
This is a neat piece of sea glass with some cool crizzle lines in the back of the piece, a totally natural sea glass characteristic.
A number of different companies manufactured this type of glass beginning in the late 1800s and continuing into the early 20th century.
