For Him Or Her

A stunning piece of "black" sea glass from Seaham England and the site of Victorian era glass factories is set in a solid sterling silver and fine silver bezel set ring.

An amazing what looks to be solid black sea glass is really a piece of deep olive green with an unusual red line running through it.

Amazing thick sea glass from a beach in England that housed many glass factories through the 18th through the early 20th centuries. Many End Of Day pieces and breakages were discarded right into the sea of this quaint seaside hamlet.

Done in a Double Bezel© setting of fine silver and sterling silver. The band is a cast solid silver setting in a size 9 3/4.

It may be possible to enlarge this to a 10 but it cannot be sized down (email if needed after purchase).

Guaranteed to get you attention and compliments!!!

The term black glass mainly refers to very dark English bottles from about 1690 to the 1850. Black glass bottles are usually not actually black, but the colors (ranging from dark brown to olive-green) become visible when the bottle is held against the light. One reason for the production of black glass was that it protected the contents of the bottle against the harmful effects of light. From the late 1600s to the mid 1800s, the majority of English bottles were made of black glass.
