For Him Or Her

A stunning piece of black sea glass from Seaham England and the site of Victorian era glass factories is set in a solid sterling silver and fine silver bezel set ring.

An amazing what looks to be solid black sea glass from England, possibly from the Middle ages and times of the Roman occupation.

Black sea glass tends to be VERY OLD and VERY THICK. It is not truly black but when held to very strong light, shows a very subtle green hue. TOP QUALITY and SPECTACULAR!!!

Done in a Double Bezel© setting of fine silver and sterling silver. The band is a cast solid silver setting in a size 9 1/2.

Guaranteed to get you attention and compliments!!!

The term black glass mainly refers to very dark English bottles from about 1690 to the 1850. Black glass bottles are usually not acutally black, but the colors (ranging from dark brown to olive-green) become visible when the bottle is held against the light. One reason for the production of black glass was that it protected the contents of the bottle against the harmful effects of light. From the late 1600s to the mid 1800s, the majority of English bottles were made of black glass

Ring is a size 9.5 and is not resizable.
