This beautiful and rare Onion Skin marble from Scotland is done in our Original Deluxe Wire Bezel© setting and leaves both front and back open so the wearer can reach up and feel the lovely texture of this natural rare sea glass.
This was possibly a childs toy lost to the sea and is a fine example of some of the rarest sea glass in the world.
Onionskin marbles were once meticulously handmade on a alcohol lamp by glass workers. Internal stripes of red, blue and white swirl inside this clear base. Set off center so you can truly enjoy the artistry of this rare sea glass marble. These marbles were handmade back in the day using an alcohol lamp and a small mandrel. Layers were built up then the clear casing was added.
This pendant will come on our free gold plated necklace chain (not shown) but looks seamless and elegant on any of our goldfilled snake chains. The large oval bail will accomodate a chain of 8MM.
